Its reputation on “as white as jade, as thin as paper, as bright as mirror, and as beautiful as chime stone” is widely spread. Porcelain culture has been greatly forged on the basis of profound theory and abstruse concepts toward taste. Now Jinde owns 12 masters of Chinese arts & crafts, 9 masters of Chinese porcelain art, 31 masters of arts & crafts at provincial level, and hundreds of senior masters of arts & crafts. As experienced and knowledgeable masters, they won claims from the collectors and clients worldwide as their works have been collected and highly noticed by organizations and collectors at home and abroad. Fujian Dehua, one of the three ancient Chinese porcelain capitals in China, has a long history of porcelain production and culture. As a carrier of porcelain culture, Dehua kiln was formed in Tang Dynasty and well developed in Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasty. Blue, blue & white, shadow blue, and black glaze porcelain as well as “Chinese White” porcelain were well known in the world a long time ago. Blue flower and colorful porcelain were brought at the height of brilliance and splendor in the Ming and Qing Dynasty. With improvement of quality and development of carving skills, He Chao-zong of Ming Dynasty was crowned with an “Eastern Venus” title. In 1915, a master Su Xue-jin’s plum work was awarded the gold medal in the Panama Int’l Arts Expo. Since the China opened the door to outside of the world, Dehua porcelain was given a boost in efforts to revive this ancient art, now it has became a production and export base of western porcelain in China. A number of works by Chen Ren-hai etc. have been collected by the Palace Museum, China Museum of History, and Great Hall of PRC, furthermore some of their works were brought by the rank officials along with their state visits to overseas as gifts. A legion of masters e.g. Xu Xing-qin, Chen Gui-yu, and Yang Min-jian emerged. At present, Dehua has became a production base of porcelain due to its mass scale, leading technology, steady development, and fast expansion in China.In 1993, former premier Li Peng paid a visit to Dehua and wrote “Famous Dehua porcelain is a pearl of the country of porcelain”.State Council’s Development and Research Center granted it “Home of Porcelain in China” in 1996.Dehua possesses more than 100 private museums of porcelain, which is only country of this kind in China.
